Episode 68: Want less drama and More Magic in your life? Try curiosity & surrender
In this episode of Powered by Joy Podcast, we dive into the powerful concept of surrender—inspired by Michael Singer’s book Living Untethered.
What if you didn’t have to assign meaning to every single thing that happens in your day? What if you could let go of constant judgment, release your expectations of how things “should” be, and stay open to the magic that might unfold instead?
Let’s ponder the idea of living with less emotional attachment, less draining of our energy, and more freedom of thought and emotions. When we stop pouring so much of our emotions and energy into every comment, situation, or outcome in daily life—and instead stay curious, observant, and open—we can give ourselves permission to simply be. We also give others the same gift: freedom to live their own experience without our projections, judgements or expectations.
Surrender isn’t all about giving up—it’s about making space for life to surprise us. It’s about releasing control so we don’t spend our precious time, energy and emotions and accidentally shut off the unexpected blessings and possibilities that can come when we get out of our own way.
This space where we surrender the how, when, who and where…that’s where the magic can happen!
